WWE is playing up injuries to Cesaro during his match against Sheamus Monday night on Raw.
The fictionalized injury report is Cesaro suffered “multiple contusions to the lumbar spine” after being back-body dropped into the ringpost by Sheamus.
Sheamus followed right up with the Texas Cloverleaf submission, forcing Cesaro to quickly tap out.
Cesaro, who went down 0-2 in the Best-of-Seven series, sold the back injury for several minutes after the finish. Multiple referees helped him out of the ring, up the ramp, and to the backstage area.
It sets up Cesaro to make an epic babyface comeback against Sheamus needing to win four out of the next five matches.
