Apple Valley reasserts its power on mats

Apple Valley entered The Clash National Wrestling Duals in Rochester, Minn., last weekend in foreign territory. The 10-time defending state champion was ranked No. 2 in Class 3A behind St. Michael-Albertville, which the Eagles beat in the state title match for last year’s big-school crown.

But the Eagles still look to be the team to beat in Minnesota after their weekend performance. Apple Valley finished fifth in the 32-team Clash, which featured many of the top teams in the country.
