WWE Edmonton, AB, live results: Owens vs. Rollins vs. Zayn; Cesaro vs. Jericho

– Raw Women’s Champion Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte

Banks won by submission with the Bank Statement. Crowd was really into Banks and Charlotte had decent heat. Good match.

– Braun Strowman defeated Sin Cara

This match went a few minutes. The crowd was really into Strowman’s power moves.

– R-Truth defeated Jinder Mahal

Mahal demanded another match afterwards because he was in the city of champions and wanted his hand raised. Neville came out and answered the call.

– Neville defeated Jinder Mahal

Neville won with the Red Arrow, which is much more impressive live.

– Enzo & Cass defeated Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Enzo and Cass cut their standard promo before the match. The crowd was really into them and they won with the rocket launcher.

– Cesaro defeated Chris Jericho

Jericho got a huge pop when he came out. But he cut a promo on the city and mostly got very good heat from the crowd after that. Cesaro came out and took Jericho’s scarf. The match got underway after some antics with the scarf. The crowd got behind Jericho near the end of the match despite booing him earlier. Cesaro won with the sharpshooter in a really good match.

– Bayley & Alicia Fox defeated Dana Brooke & Nia Jax

Bayley was very over and got the win for her team with the Bayley-to-Belly on Brooke.

– United States Champion Roman Reigns defeated Rusev w/ Lana

Lana cut a promo degrading the city beforehand. Reigns got mostly boos when introduced, but by the end of the match most of the crowd was behind him and popped big when he hit his first Superman punch. Big cheers for Reigns when he won in the end. Another really good match.

– WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn in a triple threat match

Owens got the pin after Rollins hit the pedigree on Zayn. Owens kicked Rollins, then covered Zayn for the win. Crowd was into all three guys. Really good match. Rollins hit the Pedigree on Owens after the match. Zayn offered Rollins a handshake after Owens left. Rollins debated whether to accept it or not, asked the crowd, shook Zayn’s hand, but hit him with the Pedigree after.
