Asuka’s Streak is Over, Wyatt Helps Matt Hardy, New WWE Signee?

Asuka had the longest undefeated streak in all of professional wrestling up until last night. The “Empress of Tomorrow” challenged Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, but “The Queen” proved that she was ready for Asuka. Much like how The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak came to an end when WrestleMania was hosted in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome back in 2014, Asuka’s streak has come to an end in the same building four years later. Though she tapped out to the Figure-Eight Leglock, Asuka seemed to be alright with her first loss as she congratulated Flair on her victory after the match ended.

It has been a while since WWE fans have seen or heard from Bray Wyatt. The former WWE Champion has not appeared on television at all ever since he was defeated by “Woken” Matt Hardy in the “Ultimate Deletion” match from a few weeks back. Wyatt did not have a match scheduled for WrestleMania this year, but “The Eater of Worlds” did appear during the event when he made a surprise appearance in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal during the WrestleMania Kickoff show. Wyatt actually helped Hardy eliminate former battle royal winners Mojo Rawley and Baron Corbin to win the match. Afterwards, the two seemed to signify that they may now be on the same page.

WWE has been looking for quite a number of new signees as of late as the company is always on the search for some of the biggest names available on the independent wrestling circuit who are interesting in becoming WWE Superstars. Several individuals have been rumored to be coming to WWE soon, but a few new Lucha Libre stars may be on his way in very soon. After it was originally reported by the Wrestling Observer Radio, Superluchas.com has now reported that Garza Jr. and his cousin, Ultimo Ninja, have both signed deals to start working for WWE. It is unknown when or where they will be debuting, but both have reportedly passed all of the standard medical tests that WWE requires each new performer to take.
