Rich Swann Update, Rusev & Ryback Feud, Jericho Not Coming to WWE

WWE Cruiserweight Rich Swann was arrested this past Sunday for battery and false imprisonment in an incident involving his wife. PWInsider and Pro Wrestling Sheet were able to confirm that Swann has since been released from jail, and documents discovered by Heel by Nature reveal that Swann cannot have direct or indirect hostile contact with his wife at the moment. Swann was also suspended by WWE recently, and PWInsider reports that the planned match number one contender’s match for Enzo Amore’s Cruiserweight Championship between Swann and Drew Gulak for Raw tonight has been cancelled. As of now, Rich Swann is still working for WWE.

Rich Swann was released yesterday from custody. He cannot have direct or indirect hostile contract with his wife according to the conditions laid out in the release form. His home address has been redacted from the document.

Rusev and Ryback both had numerous matches together back when Ryback was still working for WWE. It looks like there may potentially be some bad blood between the two former onscreen rivals. It all started when Smackdown’s Jey Uso uploaded a short video showing “The Bulgarian Brute” lifting in a gym. Ryback decided to insult Rusev in the comments for the video by insulting the holiday named after the current Smackdown star. Rusev eventually responded to Ryback’s sudden jab, insinuating that Ryback does not exercise naturally. It is possible that the small feud could all be in good fun, but Ryback has since removed his earlier comments on the video.

Chris Jericho managed to shock the wrestling world when he declared that he would be facing Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom show in January. The two have been building up the match for several weeks now, but some fans still believe that Jericho will be back in WWE not long after the rivalry concludes. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Jericho stated that he currently has no plans to return to WWE at all at the moment. “Will I go back? I’m sure I will, but if I don’t it wouldn’t bother me either because I’ve had a lot of great times there, but I’ve got a lot of stuff on the horizon that’s building as well.” Jericho said. It is possible that Jericho could return to WWE anyway next year, but that doesn’t look likely given the numerous projects that he is currently involved with outside of the company.
