Braun Strowman Named Second Member Of Survivor Series Team Raw
One week after SmackDown put Raw under siege, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon returned to Raw to name General Manager Kurt Angle the Team Red Captain for the Men’s Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. And The Olympic Hero wasted no time in filling his squad.
At WWE TLC, the WWE Hall of Famer returned to action for the first time in over 11 years, battling alongside Raw Tag Team Champion Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins. The Olympic Gold Medalist exploded back into competition and looked like he hadn’t lost a step, though his back will truly be against the wall in the Nov. 19 showdown. Raw’s Commissioner made it clear that Angle’s position with Monday Night Raw will be in jeopardy if he doesn’t completely show up the blue brand, and The Olympic Hero went big for his first pick, naming Braun Strowman to his team over Twitter following The Monster Among Men’s hellacious return from being thrown into the back of a garbage truck at WWE TLC.
Though it is still unclear which four Superstars will stand by Angle’s side, we know that Randy Orton will be part of Team SmackDown. The Viper became the first Superstar to be named to the Men’s Traditional Survivor Series Match after overcoming Sami Zayn in a SmackDown LIVE Survivor Series Qualifying Match. The 13-time World Champion stands as the record-holder for most Traditional Survivor Series Match eliminations with 14.
