Adam Cole Spotted with NXT Wrestlers at Orlando Airport

One of the top independent names that has been rumored to appear in WWE soon has been former Ring of Honor wrestler Adam Cole. Those rumors grew when Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish, fellow ROH alumni, were also recently signed by WWE. PWInsider recently broke the news that Cole had signed with WWE and that he would be joining the Performance Center to train for his NXT debut this week. Most fans have been speculating that Cole would be debuting at the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III this Saturday night via being shown in the crowd, reminiscent of when Bobby Roode and Drew McIntyre were shown. It seems we now have a major update on Cole’s WWE status.
Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin shared a very intriguing photo that just so happened to feature the former ROH World Champion standing alongside some fellow NXT roster members. The photo was taken at the Orlando International Airport on Friday afternoon, and it clearly features Cole chatting with NXT stars Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong, as well as WWE UK wrestlers Trent Seven and Pete Dunne. This does definitely seem to further indicate that Cole has indeed signed a deal to begin working in NXT, thus proving earlier reports of his signing correct. With Cole appearing in the airport with the rest of the NXT crew, it makes sense that he would be heading off to Brooklyn with them.
Adam Cole has been rumored to be joining WWE pretty much ever since he left Ring of Honor earlier this year. Not long after being booted from the Bullet Club, reports of him meeting with WWE personnel already began to surface online. It was also reported earlier this week that Cole is not expected to be pushed as a main eventer in NXT right at the start, this is because Triple H wants to focus on his homegrown talents training in the Performance Center for the time being. Regardless, fans believe that Adam Cole will be a natural fit for WWE, and that the company will have no choice but to recognize his talents. NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III is tomorrow night, be on the lookout for Adam Cole.
