Rumored Opponent for The Miz at This Year’s SummerSlam Revealed

WWE is currently in the process of building a new star in the form of Raw’s newest addition Jason Jordan. We all watched for months as General Manager Kurt Angle teased that he was hiding a huge secret from the WWE audience. Once he finally decided to go public with the news, it was revealed that Jason Jordan is actually Kurt Angle’s illegitimate son. Angle then promised to be a father to him at last and he also signed Jordan to the Raw brand. The plans to have Jason Jordan become a top star are definitely in the works, and it appears that Jason Jordan is going to have a big opportunity for himself at an upcoming WWE pay-per-view.
Courtesy of the latest edition of the Dirty Sheets Podcast, it appears that the current plan is to have Jason Jordan feud with The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship. This will probably lead to a match at the SummerSlam show next month in Brooklyn between Miz and the young star. The original plans apparently called for The Miz to defend his title in a triple threat match against Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, but now the company is willing to give Jordan a chance to shine on one of the biggest pay-per-views of the year. Get ready to see the buildup for the Jordan/Miz match begin on WWE television very soon.
This does seem to be the direction that the company is going in after all, they’ve even already confirmed that Jordan will be a guest on Miz TV on next week’s edition of Raw. With a possible Shield reunion on the rise, it is time for Rollins and Ambrose to move on. If WWE does want to turn Jordan into a major player for them, then they’re going to need to have him engaged in a meaningful feud that will also allow for him to showcase what he’s really capable of. Having Jordan feud with The Miz is probably a good first step to get him to the next level. Jordan has been set for a mid-card push for a while now, so get ready to see Jordan take on The Miz at SummerSlam this August.
