Kalisto On His WrestleMania 32 Opponent, The Undertaker & More

WWE United States Champion Kalisto recently spoke with Planeta Wrestling and Mundo Deportivo. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On who he thinks his WrestleMania 32 opponent will be:

“I don’t care. I accept any challenge. Everybody wants to be United States Champion, but the mos important thing is to be ready physically and mentally. For example, I defeated Alberto del Rio because I’m smarter and faster than him. Everyone thinks that they can take away that title from me but I want to show the world that I’ll be champion at least for the rest of the year.”

On The Undertaker and his relationship with the rest of the WWE locker room:

“He is a legend. Master and gladiator. I have so much respect for him. He is the first wrestler I remember when I was a kid and he inspired me. It is going to be a dream come true and I will learn as much as possible from him. I respect him so much.”

On his most important match in WWE thus far in his career:

“A lot of them come into my mind, but I think one very special was the match against The New Day and The Usos when I could hit my Salida del Sol from the top of the ladder. I won the Slammy because of that and I’m very proud. But if I have to pick one, it would be against Alberto del Rio, when I won the US title for the first time.”
