#24 – The Rajah Forums Countdown of WWE's Best Matches of 2014
Greetings and salutations, boys and girls, and welcome to the first Rajah main page installment of the most prestigious countdown list of the year, the Rajah Forums Countdown of WWE’s Best Matches of 2014!
Now, many of you have never visited the forums that are connected to this wonderful haven of news and features before, and so you might be unfamiliar with this countdown. The idea is that at the end of the year, dozens of Rajah forum members submitted lists of the WWE matches that they thought were the best. After an exhaustive process of averaging and general mathiness, a top 25 list was composed and over the course of the next few weeks, it will be revealed one match at a time.
If you agree or disagree with the matches on this list, or just wish to give your thoughts on them in a rad place full of skateboarding dinosaurs and charming secret agents, then hop on down to the Rajah Forums, make yourself an account and join the party.
Now let’s get on with the next installment of the countdown…
The tag division took a big through the summer as The Shield and The Real Americans were disbanded. Ryback’s injury halted RybAxel, Goldust & Stardust had faded into obscurity, and no one cared about the Los Matadores. However, this did not stop The Usos from cementing their tag title reign as one to be remembered, and they had a lot of help from Harper & Rowan. While the rest of the tag division died, The Usos and The Wyatts were keeping it alive through sheer ferocity in a feud that began from assisting John Cena and Bray and transformed into one of the hottest tag team rivalries of all time, starting with this match. This felt like a tag team match. Like something you would see in the late 80s or 90s: two teams that fit together and worked like roaring steam engine.
Not only did they fit, they have the wrestling credentials to back up the image. The Wyatts proved their worth as a tag team and came out looking like absolute destroyers as they battered the hell out of The Usos, but the back and forth of this match kept the crowd at a fever pitch, making this match intensely exciting. In The Usos finest moment, they put together a seamless finish that really put over how much more powerful the Wyatts were, with Jimmy & Jey going the extra mile to double superplex AND double splash Rowan to earn the seal of approval and stamp their legacy as one of the best tag teams in WWE. But this was not the end of the Wyatt/Uso saga…
