WWE Reports Preliminary HIAC PPV Buyrate

WWE has reported┬ápreliminary pay-per-view buyrate data for October’s Hell in a Cell event, which did approximately 77,000 buys.

The show, which was headlined by Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins and John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a #1 contender’s match, did 21,000 buys domestically and 56,000 buys internationally.

By comparison, last year’s event, which took place prior to the launch of the WWE Network, did 228,000 buys and featured then-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan with Shawn Michaels as the special referee.

While the WWE Network continues to take a huge chunk out of the domestic PPV buyrates, Hell in a Cell’s 77,000 buys was actually up compared to September’s Night of Champions show, which did 48,000 buys on pay-per-view.
