Ricochet and Aleister Black Officially Announced for NXT Takeover: New York
Ricochet and Aleister Black are now officially booked for NXT Takeover: New York on April 5. Their road to Takeover became wide open on the March 27 edition of NXT, where they defeated Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler of The Forgotten Sons.
The match was the tournament final of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, a prize which is only in its second year. But now Black and Ric are heading to Takeover, where they will challenge The War Raiders for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
Black and Ricochet have been making a huge impact on the main roster recently, as they’ve worked on both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. This has lead many fans to believe that the team will eventually make the jump full-time from NXT and that moment is likely coming sooner rather than later.
But at least for now, Ricochet and Aleister Black are still representing NXT. The black and gold brand is better because of their work and if they win the titles on April 5, it would surely be a huge night for NXT.
